Core Qualifications:

- Web Designer:
- The web design person would ideally know how to program and would
either know wordpress platform or want to learn. We have a new website and app and we have an in house web designer. Our web designer is a “graphic design/ fine arts” person who also programs. Usually people who like this are gamers & love to code, and program. In the past, these guys have all been a bit introverted but super smart & they are highly intellectual and love to put on their headphones and program away.

- Digital Marketing:
- The digital marketing person would do a lot working with databases of leads, working to develop marketing campaigns to them and managing the leads. They would assist in writing our newsletter and other promotional materials. Previous interns doing this have been highly analytical and very organized and very comfortable writing. They are very comfortable both working with getting a little direction, going off on their own- thinking things through, mapping out a plan, presenting it, getting feedback then going off and working alone or with a small team to execute & measure results. This position requires super smart, deep thinkers who is a good writer & problem solver & people person. If they don’t know the answer, they know how to find it.
- Social Media/PR:
- The Social media / PR post is totally different. We have a new APP and need to promote it. We also have an image- driven instagram campaign and we are the smallest Real estate in town, so we need to get people to notice us both online, via mail and in the plaza itself. People who thrive at this position are social leaders- captains of teams & clubs & college RA’s. They are social people who know how to get people to do what they want. They are making posts for instagram & facebook, making bulletins for our lobby, coming up with ideas to get the local media to write about us, meeting with potential places we sponsor local events. They make lists, posters, juggle many tasks and love to be at the center of it all. They are good at managing others to do what they need to get done. They are organized and enthusiastic doers more than deep thinkers.
- An Arts Alive Internship is ideal for students interested in exploring work in The Arts, the Non-Profit Sector, or Elementary Education. Previous Experience is Theatre is a plus.
We could offer both 50 and 100 hour internships. (.5 credit or 1 full credit)- We will have positions for 6-8 individuals for apx 10 hours a week, plus an additional 20+ hours for production/performance weeks. (this could run over 1st and 2nd semester)
- The following school programs will need interns: Nayatt, Primrose, Sowams, HMS (individual school play schedules are not yet confirmed)
- The interns will undergo a pre-season training with Myself and the directors at each school.
- The school play director will be their mentor and I will be the overall supervisor.
- Duties will include: Student check in, leading children in warm ups; assisting the director in rehearsals; leading smaller groups of children independently; If applicable, assisting the choreographer and music director; adapting of script materials; keeping a written log of blocking, props and production needs; assisting with audio tech and microphones; assisting with stage management; creating a social media campaign for the play; assisting with set construction & design.
